The Weekend Intensive Format
Friday, April 26th (7pm-10pm)
Actors focus on their work through a series of exercises involving voice, body and memory work.
Saturday, April 27th (10am-10pm)
Focuses on the actor’s individual voice and experiences, which are incorporated into a monologue that the actor has prepared for the class.
Sunday, April 28th (10am-4pm)
Moves more vigorously through the voice and body work, as actors reconnect with Shakespeare’s text, revisit their monologues and explore how the structure of the verse might influence character and performance.
TUITION: $325 USD, Application fee $25 (alumni and union discounts available)
LIMIT: 12 students

Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
Adequate time for meal breaks is given, though participants are responsible for their own meals.

This intensive actor training is most often held in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles & Seattle. Shakespeare on the Square and Flatwater Shakespeare Company have teamed up to bring this incredible opportunity to Nebraska actors. Spaces are limited.
Who:
Tina Packer, acclaimed actor, author, master teacher, founding artistic director of Shakespeare & Co., Lenox, Massachusetts and former artistic associate of the Royal Shakespeare Company in London, UK, will guide actors through their prepared Shakespearean monologues, strengthening their craft through voice and movement work, awakening and revitalizing the actors’ approach to the text.
Mary Coy, designated Linklater teacher with many years’ experience acting and teaching voice, acting and improvisation in universities and professional theatre training programs all over the United States.
